I have been a HUGE fan of Hanson of Sonoma's organic vodkas ever since my squirrel friend Kayla introduced me a few birthdays ago. Who wouldn't love a gluten free, small batch, family owned spirit, especially one local to California? As an Italian from Philly, family is everything, and my grandparents were small business owners, I was so excited to learn all about the Hanson family and how this beautiful product came to be. It's part of my DNA to shop local, small business, so this was a no-brainer. In the past I typically reached for their espresso-infused vodka but had NO idea how many other infusions they offered. So naturally I was BEYOND flattered (😍😍😍😍) when they reached out to see if I'd be interested in creating a cocktail with their ginger infused firewater! It was such a joy to inaugurate their Guest Mixologist series, and I can only wait to see who else jumps in soon. For one serving: 2 oz Hanson of Sonoma Organic Ginger Vodka 1 oz lime juice 1 oz blood orange juice 1 tbsp fresh rough chopped ginger 1/2 oz agave nectar orange bitters ginger root, fresh thyme, for garnish Place the chopped ginger and Hanson of Sonoma Organic Ginger Vodka into a glass and muddle until blended. Add lime juice, blood orange juice, agave and transfer to a cocktail shaker. Add ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into a coupe glass and add three shakes of orange bitters.
